Start with the little things. Going organic doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing venture from the get go. That is very difficult to do. But if you start off by trying to buy organic and local foods whenever possible, and use natural cleaners in your home, you'll be surprised how quickly other solutions present themselves in your daily life.

I started small with replacing spices with organic, then produce and went from there. Organic is more expensive, so I shop around. I found the local BJ's has organic milk and yogurt, Target has mac and cheese. It all depends on your time and financial resources. There are some foods that you don't need to buy organic, but for me it's all organic because I don't want to support any type of industry that harms the eartn.

I try to eat whats in season.....In Los Angeles we have farmers markets year round so being vegetarian and eating organic is relatively easy.

I'm on north coast NSW - we have lots of farmer's markets and organic farmers stalls at other markets up here. I agree with eating what is in season. Who wants mangos in winter!!!

I have alway wondered about that. Who does want Mango's in winter? I tend to lean naturally to whatever is in season. Apparently not everyone else does. Give me a Mango is the hot Sacramento summer though and you'll have a friend for life!
